We have lived as a family in New Jersey since 2014, after spending eight years in five different Eastern European countries: Krakow in Poland, Plzen in the Czech Republic, Budapest in Hungary, Warsaw in Poland, and Belgrade in Serbia.
My B.Ed in physical education taught me what children need in their young lives to grow vital and strong physically and mentally. Still, our life journey showed me how much they need to feel seen, loved, and belong and develop a sense of capability and strong self-esteem to grow their happiness.
During this highly dynamic period of adjustments, I was exposed to various school systems, from nurseries to high schools. I gained first-hand knowledge of the influence of different educational methods and teaching approaches on children’s empowering development.
As an adjusting and present mother who profoundly appreciates and is aware of the decisive importance of interactive experiences in children's comprehensive development, I started developing the educational play approach B SmART 'n PLAY.
I was so grateful and excited to find a way to integrate many developmental needs and values into one tangible platform.
Moving to the United States enabled me to explore how kids react to the idea of creating their multifaceted game sets and explore ways to play with them.
I have had the privilege of conducting hundreds of workshops, classes, programs at summer camps, and enrichment programs in educational settings, reaching thousands of children; alongside running camps over the summers, I taught hundreds of kids personal swim lessons. This experience helped me learn even more about the vast diversity among children and the tremendous impact that an adult's mental flexibility, sensitivity, and ability to see the world through the child's eyes have on leading children to success.
After 17 years of living, developing, and exploring the game concept and its vast impact on new-age kids, connecting them to themselves, their surroundings, others, and the world of interactive play, I teach slices of the game approach to everyone who loves working with kids and wishes to impact their creative, empowering development in a changing world.
My book, which theoretically and practically consolidates the rationale, philosophy, and playful concept, was published in 2017.
