The Multidimensional Play Approach
B SmART ’n PLAY is an integrative approach that supports motor, cognitive, emotional, and social development, while strengthening a sense of visibility, capability, and belonging, and deepening social and family connections.
It is based on creating multi-purpose game sets that lead to diverse and ongoing play — through movement, thinking, social interaction, and imagination — while continuously integrating critical thinking with creative and associative thinking.
The approach was developed through years of hands-on programs with children, families, and community groups.
Today the focus is on sharing the method through professional training, lectures, and the development of new programs based on the model.
Bell Telem Goudsmit
Bell Telem Goudsmit is the developer of the B SmART’n PLAY methodology, an evolving play-based approach shaped through years of hands-on programs with children, families, and community groups.
The method was developed through a unique combination of life experience and professional background. Over the course of living across seven countries within less than a decade, while raising three children with play at the center of everyday life, Bell was immersed in a wide range of educational settings, from nurseries to middle schools, gaining first-hand insight into diverse educational methods and observing how different teaching approaches and frameworks shape children’s holistic development.
Together with an academic background in physical education and extensive practical experience working with children in motor and social development, this became the foundation for an integrative, play-based approach rooted in creation, exploration, and ongoing play.

Professional Trainings for Educators, Therapists, and Facilitators
Professional trainings introducing the B SmART’n PLAY methodology as a practical and adaptable framework for educators, therapists, and facilitators.
Participants learn how to implement the approach in a wide range of settings — leading workshops, after-school programs, camps, classroom activities, and both individual and group sessions in educational and therapeutic environments.
Parent–Child & Family Workshops
Families collaboratively create multi-purpose play sets and discover how to generate evolving systems of play through movement-based and thinking games.
These open-ended creations stimulate imagination, creativity, and flexible thinking while offering adaptable levels of challenge for different ages and abilities within the family.
Currently offered in Northern Bergen County, New Jersey and nearby communities.
Creative Programs for Older Adults
Creative and collaborative play-based programs designed to support the preservation of cognitive, motor, and social abilities in later stages of life.
Through meaningful creation, movement, and shared play experiences, participants strengthen social engagement, cognitive vitality, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Currently offered in Bergen County, New Jersey and surrounding areas.
